Its me again, invading all sections now. :D

Anyway, my current TV fried out about four times and they finally gave me vouchers (yay!) to get a new one from them (nay!). I dont know anything about HDTV LCD TVs so i was wondering if you peeps could help me out. Here is one i currently have my eye on:

LG RZ32LZ55 32" High Definition LCD TV (not really hdtv, just hdtv ready)

Does anyone know what a good brand would be to go with or any other good 32" models that are really recommended?

Oh yea and thanks to badass and his guides or i would still be scratching my head looking at their specs lol.

ive got a sharp 32" HDTV and a sammy 26" HDTV, both are amazing quality, and i did read that the model of sharp i have has been voted best for next gen console gaming as the panel used in it is top notch :D

Yeah don't go for the LZ55, go for the LG 32LX2R model. Far superior and has both DVI and HDMI with HDCP Support.

Since there is a limited number of manufactures of the LCD screens most of the 'named' brands will be very much similar in quality as they use the same LCD pannel with a different case and control equipment.

LGs do have slight issues displaying blacks but unless you see a lot of good reviews avoid the cheaper brands as they do tend to use older technology pannels.

Well i managed to get looking around today and they have the LG 32LX2R and the Samsung LE32R51BD.

So hopefully one of those will be warming my bench tomorrow :D.

Dont know if im bothered about it having issues with blacks, im only going to be using it for the 360 and movies etc :). Going to get a new monitor separately for the pc.

Cheers for the help lads.

Bomag, older LGs tend to have the poorer blacks. My 32LX2R has some of the deepest blacks i've seen on an LCD. Just finished a nice session on Oblivion on the 360 and i tell you, them dungeons are black as midnight!

Considering you can pick the 32LX2R for £840 delivered now, there's no excuse not to.

Do It. Do It. Do It!

The Sammy can be had for less, but at this level its personal choice there is so little between them imo

They're all useless at blacks tbh. My Pioneer 42"" Plasma isn't fantastic at blacks, and the reviews stated that the deep black tones were what made this TV superior to a lot of other LCD/Plasmas in the market.

I just picked up one of these babies the other day, A Samsung LE32R74BDX 32" LCD HDTV. Got it for about £700, know a good friend of mine who managed to sort out a good price for me...usually sell for close to £900 if im not mistaken.

Read a lot about this screen, one the newest samsung models and is supposedly better than the older samsung models. I havent had mine delivered yet, hopefully end of the week fingers crossed i shall have it:).

Well i went again today and decided to go with the LG 32LX2R. Both it and the samsung were the same price and had the same feats i think, so it really came down to taste and the appearance of the LG 32LX2R appealed to me more.

Just have to wait till next wednesday to get it now :(

Cheers for the help lads :)
