LCD prob

hey guys my mate gave me a NEC 19" lcd screen to try on my comp coz it dont work on his so i plugged it in got it to work for like a min then it went off dont know if it has something to do with my g-card or could be the power unit inside all lights come on correctly n stay on when the screen goes black so there is still power going to the monitor any ideas ?

ok guys solved the prob the power setting was wrong on the ati setings for the monitor it didnt even show the correct power setting now works fine but just found a black mark on the screen

but you can bearly see it so not too bad for a free 19" tft
