LCD prob

hey guys my mate gave me a NEC 19" lcd screen to try on my comp coz it dont work on his so i plugged it in got it to work for like a min then it went off dont know if it has something to do with my g-card or could be the power unit inside all lights come on correctly n stay on when the screen goes black so there is still power going to the monitor any ideas ?

You tried moving the cables about? It might be a loose connection.

Probably more likely to be a problem with the monitor itself rather than your graphics card considering it also doesn't work on your friends pc.

I guess the chances of both of you having loose cables is slight, so I guess the screen is broken in some way.

ok guys solved the prob the power setting was wrong on the ati setings for the monitor it didnt even show the correct power setting now works fine but just found a black mark on the screen but you can bearly see it so not too bad for a free 19" tft
