Le Creuset Cookware: Is it worth the money?

+1 for Le Creuset

have the small omelette pan and the large rectangle griddle, both are outstanding.

My Circulon omelette pan is better then the Le Creuset one.

I do have a set of Tesco Finest Copper Bottomed Frying Pans and Saucepans, and i can not fault them. Fantastic quality.

yes they are worth it.
i am not a fan boy, but recently my mum gave me some of hers she bought a few years back, but never used them as they were too heavy.
i have a griddle pan, frying pan and 1 medium pot and 1 large pot all blue.

they are heavyish but i have gone from cheapo pans to these, and you can notice the difference, they are very very good

Afternoon all.

Well I definitely took on board the input. Later in the year when the summer's gone, I'll be looking to invest in a nice Le Creuset casserole methinks :-)

Now however, I've got some pans in the circulon infinite range. I got a 24cm lidded saute pan and a 20cm fry pan :-) They look very nice, I'll let you all know how they cook as I'm sure you'll be dying to hear ;-)

I'm a huge fan of cast iron pans. In my honest opinion when it comes to pans/skillets then it comes down to the amount of effort your willing to put in. Personally, I use cast iron pans & skillets which I bought for a job lot of £3 at a boot fair!

I did spend time (including soaking them in oven cleaner overnight) getting them in tip-top condition before seasoning them and now I have a set of pans which will last me a lifetime and are a joy to cook on!

The creuset stuff is ideal for those who just want the quality but aren't weirdos like me who take joy in building a black petina on their pans!
