Le Mans 24 hour - 2023

Looks like someone was taking photos of the one of the suspension mounting points on the Caddy. Wasn't rushing to fit a new corner. Doesn't seem good.

[edit]

Scratch that... corner now going on.

God we need someone like Eduardo in F1. Imagine a race director coming over everyones radio and telling the drivers what to do in F1. :D
Not sure if you're joking, but he was the joint F1 race director in 2022, until he massively dropped the ball at Suzuka and was responsible for letting the recovery truck out on the track while cars were still circulating at high speed.

The Peugeot is my favourite looking of the hypercars. Great art car livery and running without a rear wing. But they should be faster that they are in a straight line...

Completely forgot about that. We need someone like him... ;)

barrier took a long time to fix, and then there is this janky imsa-like system i guess they are trying out here.

As with any circuit this size, any SC process is a lesson in compromise though.

Wasn’t it down to fixing the barriers or was it the new process they were talking about of closing the pack up?
Both. The barrier repair took some time, also had to fish a car from the gravel and get some debris.
But the new safety car procedure takes a a few laps to arrange.

I’m back for my annual OcUK Le Mans visit! Good to see all the usual faces - long time no see!
