May be a daft question this, but will never know unless i ask.

Is this TV capable of showing 1080p/24?

I seem to recall that on a post somewhere somebody says that is was after a recent firmware update. If this is the case, how do i check if i have that firmware versiojn and if i dont, how do i get it?

BTW, if anyone is thinking of getting one, do. Its a lovely panel. Have Sky HD, X-Box 360, PS3 and Wii hooked up to it through my Onkyo amp and it looks amazing. Blue-Ray is a dream and Sky HD, even though there are only a few channels atm, looks superb. Spent nearly a whole rugby match just looking at the grass.

you can check what firmware you're running by entering the service menu. But this resets certain things and not advised

Your best off trying with a PS3 to get 1080/24 and if it doesnt work, contacting samsung to request the upgrade.

Hi, I think you may well find that Sony made changes to their ps3 firmware that meant the set works fine...

i think its hit and miss unless you've got the update firmware. I think some users reported that even when they forced it using the PS3, it didnt display properly.

Ive got an M87 and the 24fps thing works great on the PS3, don't know what firmware im using, its the stock one that came with the TV.
