My idea for a support champion from the Void:

Concept:
Wrexan, like Malzahar, is a human who has been corrupted after spending time in the Void.
He encountered strange creatures who have formed a symbiotic link to the mage (think Venom/Carnage in Marvel comics).
He is a support mage with a complicated style of play, as he can either have himself buffed, buff allies, or debuff enemies.
Buffing his allies and debuffing his enemies leaves him vulnerable, so care must be taken when deciding what action to take.
His low base stats are are to balance the buffs he receives when his symbiotes are with him.
Whilst his spells can be powerful (especially a perfectly timed ultimate), they leave him vulnerable, and if he is killed quickly, his spells can be nullified.
The more useful he is being to his team, the squishier he becomes, creating an interesting risk/reward scenario.
Wrexan can transfer his symbiotes to allies, providing them with various buffs.
Doing so removes the symbiotes passive effect on himself until it returns.
The symbiotes will remain on the secondary host as long as Wrexan remains in 700 range.
If the symbiotes are out of range for more than 5 seconds, they will leave to return to Wrexan.
They will also return if they are reduced to 0 HP.
Wrexan can recall his symbiotes from allies by activating the skill again, but cannot do so when symbiote is on an enemy.
Symbiotes have a cooldown based on their health, when fully healed they are usable again. This is NOT affected by CDR. If they return with full health, there is a base cooldown of 3 seconds.
Wrexan is a mana-less champion.
Symbiotes regenerate 10% of their maximum health per second, but only when merged with Wrexan.
If an ally dies before the symbiote, it returns to Wrenthos with its remaining HP.
If Wrexan dies, any symbiote currently traveling or attached to an ally/enemy will die as well.
Only one symbiote can be active on any single ally/enemy.
Passive - Symbiotic Link
If 2 symbiotes are merged with Wrexan, the passives they grant are increased by 10%. If all 3 are merged with him, their passives are raised by 20%.

Enemy's physical damage output is reduced by 5/10/15/20/25% for 4 seconds.
After 4 seconds the Scale Symbiote explodes, damaging surrounding enemies for 40/60/80/100/120 (+5% of Wrexan's total health) as physical damage.

Mercury Symbiote absorbs 4/8/12/16/20% of magic damage received by the ally after defense calculations, and reflects half of that back at the enemy as magic damage.
(Active - Enemy)
Enemy's magical damage output is reduced by 5/10/15/20/25% for 4 seconds.
After 4 seconds the Mercury Symbiote explodes, dealing 20/35/50/65/80 (+0.4 AP) as magical damage, and slowing surrounding enemies by 10/15/20/25/30% for 4 seconds.

E - Acid Symbiote
HP: 150/200/250/300/350
MS: 500/600/700/800/900
(Passive)
Wrexan's basic attacks deal 4/8/12/16/20 bonus true damage and reduce the target's armor & MR by 5/10/15/20/25 for 4 seconds.
Reduction does not stack, but continued auto-attacks will reset the timer.

Ally gains a 400 range aura that deals 2/4/6/8/10 true damage per second to surrounding enemies.
Acid Symbiote absorbs 5/10/15/20/25% of ALL damage received by the ally after defense calculations.
(Active - Enemy)
Enemy receives 0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5% of their remaining health as true damage over 4 seconds.
After 4 seconds the Acid Symbiote explodes dealing 1/2/3/4/5% of their remaining health as true damage to surrounding enemies.
Explosion radius: 200
R - Symbiote Synergy
Only castable when not on cooldown and all 3 symbiotes are present on Wrexan.
Wrexan summons a synergized symbiote Giant for 20 seconds.
Controllable like Tibbers, with a 700 cast range. The Symbiote will remain within 700 range of Wrenthos.
200 radius aura that deals 5/10/15 true damage per second and reduces enemy armor and MR by 15/30/45.
Reflects 5% of all damage taken (after armor/MR is applied) as true damage.
If not killed in 20 secs, it explodes dealing 100/200/300 true damage to enemies, reducing their speed/armor/MR by 20% for 5 seconds.
If Wrexan dies, it explodes dealing 50/100/150 true damage to enemies, reducing their speed/armor/MR by 10% for 5 seconds.
AD: 60/70/80

Cooldown: 120/105/90 seconds
So the idea is that if he is not helping an ally or debuffing an enemy, he is marginally tanky.
If trying to dish out help and debuffs and damage, he is squishy.
Killing him will nullify buffs/debuffs on his allies/enemies, and will stop the AOE from the debuffs from happening.
His ult poses a threat if left unchecked. Killing it is the best option as it results in no true damage explosion, and also means all symbiotes need to regenerate, leaving Wrexan without any abilities to use for 10 seconds.
Killing him whilst he is squishy will cut the ult short and reduce it's damage and debuff by half.
