At the girlfriends at the moment, just come back from the cinema to find the boiler is slowly leaking a steady stream of water. Had a look underneath and tried to turn off any taps but to no avail. The boiler is now currently switched off yet it's still leaking!
No answer when phoning British Gas and the landlord said they can't do anything until tomorrow!
Help please!

Honestly couldn't answer that, and I'm not even sure what that is. I'm a noob when it comes to boilers!

It's the pipe that lets the steam outside, sometimes it can get blocked, the water builds up and causes a leak.

Is it a combi boiler?

It should have a shutoff valve close to it as well.

Let the landlord sort out the mess... if they're not arsed then why should you be?

Switch it off and make sure the water supply is off and go to bed.

Their should be a release valve inside the boiler afaik (Usually red and made of plastic) which dumps the water from the boiler down the overflow.

I think anyway.

Best to get some sleep while the girlfriend keeps vigil with a mop. After all it is Saturday tomorrow and you don't want to be tired while watching sports on the TV.

All I know is that it turns on when a hot tap is turned on and it controls when the central heating comes on, and there's a big pipe coming out of the top going outside. Only valves I can see are a stopcock, a filling loop and a yellow horizontal tap. Tried turning all and no joy!

Prit Stick ?

Vinegar and best brown paper ?

Have you tired playing with all the cocks, stop cocks?

Sorry i can be of more use, but there must be a stop valve somewhere near.

Came back to it this morning to find it's stopped leaking, maybe just a build up of water? There's a British Gas engineer coming out anyway.

Has it been cold where you are? It might have been the condensate pipe that had frozen or blocked up. Happened to mine over the winter and filled the internal overflow tank. Had to pour warm water over the pipe outside then get some lagging on it.

Apparently it was the main cause of combi boiler call outs over the winter!
