Leaking gutter woes

This is what I did at my mum's too.
 
As a matter of interest did you put your ladders on the flat roof and go up and have a look - even if you can't reach you should get a idea of what the gutters look like - Looking at that photo - there does seem to be a lot of moss on ridge tiles - Moss is the killer - can block gutters in no time.
 
You may be in luck @psd99 ... I just decided (bored) to clear out my lower gutter. I have an identical roof to you. I was amazed to see it wadged FULL with soil. In sweeping it out I discovered what looked like an upside down shuttlecock in the downpipe, that was there to specifically capture debris/stop them making their way into the system.

I reckon given how similar our roofs are you may have the same shuttle **** type debris catcher...!
