I had my matrix changed back in August / September last year, either way its less than a year ago and its leaking again. Now i havent spoken to the garage that carried out the work yet and cant do so until Monday - from peoples experiences would this still be covered under some kind of warranty or guarentee and hence avoid me having to pay another £240 to have a new one fitted ?

The car is a 2001 1.3 GSI Hyundai Accent.

unless they specificly provide a warranty, its a bit grey. Law states that parts should not fail in a "reasonable period of time" that period being left open as different parts last different lengths of time.

Take it back and explain what happened, explain your point of view that you dont think this is a resonable ammount of time for the replacement to last. See where that gets you.

Thanks for the reply, thats kind of what i intedned to do - im sort of guessing i might if im lucky get away with the cost of the matrix but will have to pay for the labour.

Ive just spoken to the garage and its covered under a 12month parts and labour warranty - result as no charge to me, well thats as long as my thinking i had it done no earlier than august last year - pretty sure tho'.
