In my Brain...
There I was on a nice relaxing ride home from work when a leaner driver decided to serve me a tbone steak when the pulled out on me when going straight over the roundabout.

Ouchies, for your next bike, i recommend something in a nice stripey dayglo green/yellow, with ABS, & a 1000watt headlight wired on permanently. oh, & straight thru pipes.

or a tank. :p

looking at that tank you must have steel gonads:eek:

shame about the damage though, are you gonna fix it up again?

Ouch, but how many crashes. Perhaps you need that BMW c1 with the roof and seat belt.

Only 2 so far! First crash the Lorry driver just pulled out across the A road. I later found out his trailer lights wasn't hooked up properly hence him thinking he'd been indicating, not much you can really do about it but learn from it.

It has a seat belt?

And you've already got a hornet? Looks nice :)

Yea, I've been saving for a decent one for a while and was intending on saving another grand or so for a newer one, but this will do me fine for the moment. Will look even better once I've got all the new stuff ordered.

Glad you're ok, hopefully you'll have better luck with your next bike.

Yea fingers crossed I've just been unlucky so far, I even ride like a grandad on the weekly commute and it's not as though my old cb was super sporty, heh. Good few lessons learnt though, to assume everyone is out to knock you off everywhere even when it's inconceivable they will.

That hornet looks nice in the other thread, how much did it set you back as I'm considering one when I pass my tests.

1.1k whole lot of bike for the money imo, there's a few around for around that price although you have to wait a week or so for a decent one to pop up :)

You might also want to have a look at a bandit 600, good few of those around for the money and an excellent first bike although they they do need cleaning often or regular coatings of ACF50 as they like to corrode.

Wow 1.1k seems like a really good deal! Where abouts did you spot that and I'm guessing you managed to get a few quid below the asking price.

Did you have to do much work on it or was it running smoothly when you bought it?

Yea, although it's about average if you shop around and prepared to wait a few weeks. Asking price was £1200ono and managed to get him down to £1100 without even trying.

Nothing, was spotless and running great when I picked it up and still is now. Although I'm planning on doing a full service on it anyway just for my own piece of mind.

Oops, I imagine you must be feeling a little sore :(

Is everything ok with regard to the driver and insurance etc? Any witnesses?

Yup although starting to get better.

Well the instructor/learner drove off while I was in the ambulance so still trying to find out their details. :(

are you claiming through your insurance? you can still claim even if driver cant be traced, through the central insurance bureau i think its called

It's the MIB; Motor Insurer's Bureau

What details do they require though? I don't even have his numberplate or driving school name, as I was in the ambulance when he pulled off, will check it out though.

If he wasn't able to give you his details, he should have called the old bill and informed them, might be worth giving them a bell to see if thats the case.

Why weren't the plod in attendance, surely when theres a road traffic accident that results in injury, they should be in attendence, i mean they showed up to both of my prangs that saw me get an ambulance ride.
