learning active directory and exchange?

wheres the best place i can learn about active directory and exchange?
I was planning on setting up several virtual machines in ms virtual pc 2004 and go from there, but the trouble is i have no idea where to start after that!

In all honesty, you are on the right track. Setup a virtual network with server and clients, then just go for it. Google some guides and just use the information they provide as a guide.

The easiest way to learn it, is to use it.
