Learning ASP.NET

Im gonna be graduating Computer Science soon and im gonna be looking for a job. Lots of companies want .NET stuff so i need to look into it.

I love web devopment so ASP.NET would be a good start.

I have Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005, but i need some good tutorial sites for starting off ASP.NET. I know PHP, xhtml, css etc.

Anyone start me off? Thx

How about the official ASP.NET site? Click on the tutorial option and follow the tuorials. There are also forums for further advice on specifics.

I would take a look at W3 Schools and 4 Guys from Rolla has some good articles on it for showing you how to do certain things. Make sure to know the differences between the way things are done in 1.1 and 2.0.

See if your department is a member of the MS Academic Alliance, if so then you should be able to get MS Visual Studio 2005. It would be better than the Express version.

i found them helpful with getting used to asp.net before starting to experiment a bit
