Why does everyone keep talking about how great the kit has to be? Lol
I mean,I get that pacifica's etc are good starters but I started on a cheap unknown,possibly twisted as it detuned every half hr guitar.
Personally,if you can struggle along with a cruddy first guitar,it'll make a decent one so much more playable lol
If you're really wanting to do it, just get anything. But dont get ripped off!
But yea,chords to start and depending how ya wanna go either get a teacher,if you're serious and want to be in a band or just get bored,learn songs with tab and have fun!
