Leaving a network

It's been a good few years since I have left a mobile network at the end of an 18 month / 24 months contract.

I will be leaving EE at the end of my minimum term, which is the 16th July.

When do I request the PAC to leave to keep any cancellation charges down etc? On / after the 16th?

In my head i'd request the PAC now. Will be valid for 30 days if i remember right. They'll probably offer deals to ask you to stay, but once you have the code you could contact the network you are looking to move to and ask when the best time would be to start the switch.

Afraid it's been a long long time since i switched and weirdly been looking to switch over to EE from Vodafone.

I think if I request it now, I could be liable for charges / early termination fee.

It should tell you that cost. Will probably be a few quid.

You are giving 30 days notice, you shouldn't be charged anything. Request your PAC as per https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/managing-and-using-my-account/leaving-ee/what-is-a-pac-code then just tell the new provider to switch you on the 17th July.
