I will be leaving my current employment at the end of this week, as a placement student and want to send a good bye to everyone as an email? I remember seeing a thread here in GD about a leaving email but cant find it via search?! Any tips? :)

Careful. For smaller employers, it's generally OK, but for bigger ones, many employers frown on them (I know mine does).

Agreed, a letter is better for workplace etiquette.

It's not a resignation letter. I think writing a letter to say goodbye is a bit much. :)

:o Ah, I didn't notice the 'everyone' :D

In that case, just say something about thankyou for supporting me etc. Say you enjoyed your stay and wish everyone the best of luck for the future and say a box of biscuits is in the kitchen for you all.

Do what I do. When I leave, I just take a few moments out of the day to go and speak to those that support me. My employer doesn't mind because I managed to get the days work completed by noon, allowing any other work to be completed, easily giving me time to wander round.
