LED or LCD

i have two chocies of tv in which i can buy.
1.
Samsung LE32C530 32 inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview
2.
Samsung UE32C4000 32 inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview

both are 299.99

so basicly i do not know which one to go for because i will be sacraficing one definitive feature on either

i will use it mainly for gaming on my ps3 and to watch tv, it will be well used, at least 6 hours a day.

so my question is will i be better off with LED technology with just hd ready. or full 1080p with just LCD with no led back lighting.

I picked up a Samung UE40C6620 (LED) and wasn't that impressed, it had some annoying backlight dimming on dark scenes that cannot be disabled.

I much preferred the LCD before it without any sort of automatic dimming, even though the contrast levels are not as good.

I have the 40c530 in my room - awesome for the price I paid (£350) and is great for what I use it for. I looked at an LED set and was not impressed that I was only getting HD ready for the same price. The c530 is a great TV. Yes the blacks aren't as deep as my G15 Plasma but they are still bloody good, and no backlight bleed on my screen whatsoever.
Get the LCD.

thanks for the replies guys, i've decided to go with the LED option, as i'm colour blind i think the higher contrast ratio of deeper blacks and brighter whites may help to distinguish the shades of colour a lot easier.

I'd have personally gone with the LCD, as it has been rated very highly on HDTVtest, and I can only find user reviews for the LED.

I don't hold much faith in budget LED screens, as more compromises tend to be made as they are newer tech.

led is part of lcd display which mean led is backlight and it very thinnest plus 50% energy saving... I own 3 samsung led tv with one is 46", 40" and 22" that look nicely plus cool with pc via hdmi from my amd radeon 6970 card also xbox 360... the 46 I used is much light which is 17kg. lcd use cold cathode tube as led use very small led that make lots saving from energy as it good to buy led tv

Edge lit is only good if you are bothered how slim the tv is and dont care about picture quality.. for picture quality the full LEDs are much better.. Even some of the CCFL models can produce a better picture then edge lit tvs.
