Anyone have any recommendations for some led light strips?

I've bought some for under my kitchen cabinets, but require 2.5m strip, 2m of no lights (to go behind dishwasher/washing machine) then another 800mm of lights. Does anyone have anything they recommend?

I've bought a set from ebay which says they can be rejoined but the contacts seen impossible to make that happen.

I don't need any smart features/remote as I will control it from a hive plug

I know some will have similar solutions for bias lighting for TVs etc so thought I might get a better response in GD rather than home&garden.

Pics of current.. (can't see unit to the right)

they are really helpful.

I got strips that are hard wired into controllers in the wall
it all depends on your budget of course but led lighthouse are pretty damn good at advice.

You can buy a long roll of it and just cut it and join it with cables. Most of the self adhesive rolls of led lights have set points they can be cut at.

I will however forwarn you that they aren't that easy to solder. The contacts are very small and it's easy to end up bridging over two points.

Thanks I've had a look and sent them an email.

Probably looking at max £50 to sort it, which pains me slightly as it's only about £12 for an eBay roll! (altho difficult to join).

Is your current wire RGB or just white? What type of water protection was it advertised with? I used some standard 4x cable extenders for an RGB kit after peeling back the rubber, more reliable to solder though. One of my white kits had a nano coating on which couldn't peel so I soldered it to the back after peeling off the 3m tape. It would be better to get a length of extension wire, 1m more tape, cut to size, solder and heatshrink to protect it.
