Has anyone got any decent tutorials for how to work with and install LED strips? I've literally NO idea where to start and would like to learn but I'm not sure what's gash to watch and what's informative. Do OCUK sell LED strips? How do they "power up"? Do you plug them into a motherboard or what? I've no idea how they work so I need help.

I'm currently making an acrylic side door for my 600t case and as part of the project log I'm doing, I feel adding some LEDs in the case will highlight my hardware and look good through the new clear side.

OCUK do sell LED strips and they are generally powered via a Molex connector.

There are also DIY options where you obtain the LED strip and possibly modify the connector or something.

LED strips often come with an adhesive backing so you just stick it to a flat surface, provide power and enjoy.

Some LED strips can be cut very inch or so and joined with wires to arrange LEDs in certain areas.

I had some before from Phobya. I used cable ties and adhesive to mount them where I wanted. Fairly straightforward.

I plan to use cathode for a UV effect. I believe OC have some of them too.

Double sided tape and molex powered LED strips. Never doubt the strength of double sided tape.. it's a nightmare to get back off your case lol

I take it LEDs come as a "set amount of light" i.e. you can't dim them?

I have bitfenix case fans with leds that I can dim when they are running due to the fan controller.

Correct, but I assume you can wire it to a controller, essentially a fan controller is just an adjustable resistor.
