led zeppelin

I'd love to go back and experience the first time I discovered Zeppelin.
I'd have to say that my favourite song is Ramble On as well. For me its the perfect balance of acoustic and sheering electric guitar, and I guess as Jimmy describes it in the film It Might Get Loud, its the night and day comparison. Add in the lyrics, groovy bass line and Plant's singing and its just perfection.

This is a great cover by the Foos with Page and Jonesy.

Over 8/9 albums it's impossible to pick a favourite from a band who didn't really record and release anything that was a dud.
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You - I
Since I've been Loving You - III
When the Levee Breaks - IV
No Quarter - The Song Remains the Same (Live album)
The Rover and Ten Years Gone - Physical Grafitti
Achilles Last Stand - Presence

Led Zeppelin III was a new release when I bought it as my second ever album (first was Deep Purple In Rock).
Favourites come and go but Dazed and Confused, Since I've Been Loving You and Achilles Last Stand are always there or thereabouts.

Ohhhhh I'm going to say it! I honestly don't get the fuss. They're alright. Stairway to heaven is the best song they've done imo.
Do you play an instrument?
I was never much into them until my drum teacher sat me down and took me on a tour through what the players were actually doing on certain tracks (including Stairway)... and that's the point where I found serious respect for them.
