Leeds meet thread

I'm going to organise another Leeds meet.

Quite a few people seemed interested last time round when we mentioned we'd already had one, so I guess its only fair to have another. Its not going to be until next year. Looking around February time.

I'm willing to be the guide, but only if you buy me lots of drinks :p

This is just to guage interest really. I need to start planning early if its gonna be a big meet.

Pretty bad I'm afraid. Leeds is notoriously shocking around Valentine's.

I might come along if that's ok? I'm not from Leeds though if that makes any difference.

Phil.

Yes. Only people from Leeds can attend.

I had to start my own, and he complains about it in every meet thread that isn't in the big smoke, without doing something about it.

Annoys me a little in case you hadn't noticed ;)

The meet will happen somewhere around the third quarter of Feb. 18th-22nd or so, depending on where the weekend lands.

If it really is halfway across the country and you're not over-dramatising it, you must be closer to Swansea than me and I'm attending there. Stop being such a jessie ;)

Gilly,
any cheapish places to stay or hotels im the centre??
Best way is to find someone willing to share a twin room in one of the big hotels. IIRC it cost us £35 per person in the Queen's Hotel (right in the centre on city sq. above the train station) last time which I thought was alright.

I'll have a skeg around and make some recommendations later this week.

Headingley > Otley ;)

Your pics are the same btw, and that looks shockingly like my ex. Its not, but it doesn't half look like her. Right down to the cheeky smile.

No problem whatsoever. I'll look into it quite extensively. Want everyone as close as possible to each other/the centre.

The Hotel Metropole Leeds. .25 miles from the station.

Queens Hotel Leeds. 0.0 miles from the station

Leeds Marriott Hotel. 0.25 miles from the station

These are the hotels I would say are the best options. They also seem to have decent pricing on atm.

If these hotels fill up, the Radisson SAS in The Light complex would be the 4th option I would take. Slightly more expensive though.
