Was on Radio 5 apparently that Leeds are set to go in to administration within the next few days.

so potentially could stat on -10 for next season

Didn't you have to sell your training ground and stadium to stop you falling into administration a few years back. No more assets to sell off now though?

We have been trying to buy our stadium back for a while now so have money there.

You sold it off, I doubt you could have afforded to buy much of it back though you may have a few £m's that may save you in the short term. Unless Leeds get immediate promotion back to the Championship there is only one way the club will fall imo.

Apparentely 5 months ago it was stated we would have been in the top 10 next year for the best financial club in the UK. We would have no debts to banks like other clubs have.

Obviously things may have changed now but I can't suddenly see us being in the red.

So what the hell was all that tripe about being debt free in x months then? :p
Its true, with the turnover the club had if they'd stayed in the Championship they'd have finally paid off all the ex-staff they were still paying thanks to the (*spit*) Ridsdale era and would have been pretty much debt-free.

@ Andy & Gilly

Whats the feeling amongst the Leeds faithfull on Wise stopping as manager and was the sacking of the last guy a bad move with the benefit of hindsight ?

I'm still not sure about Wise but he did get the team working for each other in the end. There were a lot of rumours flying round (even if a handful of the 15-20 I heard were true it was big bother) of problems when Wise was just starting to work with Leeds.

Even looking back over what has happened I'd still say sacking Blackwell was the right move.

Wise did get us playing decent football, the fact is we got in so many loan players that I don't think they had their heart at Leeds and trying to keep them up. Some did, Mickey Gray for example.
It was time for Blackwell to go when he did, the comments he made in press interviews were tedious sometimes and always wanted people to see what a great job he had done.
I'm not sure on Wise, I think we've got the best manager in terms of knowing the club and I do think he loves the club, even if we did sack him it would be back to the drawing board again and there isn't really any better managers on the market.

At the weekend I did want him to go!

I dont think the fact were going down is due to wise, but more due to the fact we have used 43 (!!!!!!) players this season, few of which are actually owned by the club.
Been saying it for years, but something needs to give to allow us to have a fresh start.

Blackwell had to go when he did we were getting spanked every week, Wise stopped that but that hasn't been enough. I don't blame him particularly for our relegation and I hope he stays on as manager. Bates has to go though, it now appears he lied about our financial stability as he said we'd be fine no matter what happened and that evidently isn't the case. The gap in money between the Championship and League One isn't that much so there must be something else that's the problem even more so as the wage bill is going to be massively reduced in a few weeks. The problem is who would want to replace Bates :(

The real question is, are those numptys at Look North Leeds going to give us a Leeds special telling use how mighty they once were in the semi finals of the champions league and now mucking it with the likes of Donny :p

Thats quite an understanding, no-one I've spoken to has said anything like that, nor has it been mentioned on any of the usual rumour sites.

Starting your own rumour is always quite nice if it catches on I suppose.

Wise's record is no better than what Blackwell's was leading up to his sack.

The source would be in a position to know, I have no reason to doubt the source just as I have no reason to make it up.

Of course it is. Look at the side's current form.

Suitably vague :)

You'll forgive me for my cynicism.
