Just seen the awesome offer on steam for both these for <£5 each. Which one should I go for? (No not both!)

Not played either of them. Only thing I'm worried about is my system being old. It's a [email protected], 2GB, 256mb 7800gtx, win xp, gaming at 1920x1080.

Reviews are a smidge better for 2, but maybe if the first one will be more playable on my system I should go for that?

Thanks.

Go for the seocond one. More in it and they may well import the remaining four maps over from L4D1 into L4D2 anyway yet. Already ported the best one. (No Mercy)

Each to their own but I've got both and preferred the first game tbh. It's a lot darker and more like a retro Zombie movie than the second.

I do like the chainsaw in the 2nd game though :D

Agree with order.

Though i'd say get l4d2. It has more unbalance but its got a lot more strategy to it with the additional infected and gear.

Why not get both? Getting the first as well in a pack only costs a little more, and some people prefer the atmosphere of the first.

Of course if you can ONLY get one, the second game is the better choice, but otherwise get the pack.

The second. I had a LOT of fun with L4D1, I didn't think they could improve on it but they did. L4D2 has more special infected, most environments and more wow factor. I remember when my team first played the tunnel of love in Dark Carnival we were all stunned.

The first is great but the second is even better. Hard Rain is also an incredible campaign.

I prefered the first game. Or maybe I was pretty much all Left4Deaded out by the time the second one came out.

I know they improved it, but it's still basically the same game.

The second one is a lot more of a challenge.

It's £2.72 extra to buy both, so the cost of a pint of beer for a game of Left4Dead's quality is not to be sniffed at. Even if you only play through each of Left4Dead 1's campaigns once, there's an easy 8 hours of gaming in there.
