Left 4 Dead 2 Problem

Just finished downloading from steam, installed fine, but i cant be in a game for more than say 15-20 seconds before it disconnects me, it takes me straight back to the lobby with everyone in it, obviously they arnt actualy in the lobby because there in the game playing!

i have no idea whats going on

Are you Using a Router to Connect to the Internet and using steam?

yus i think i found the problem though, i forwarded the l4d ports onto my router settings, seemed to have done the trick

You actually Need to Forward ports for Steam mate, not only L4D, then all Muliplayer Coop base steam games will work fine. I was having the same problem, back when i first time ever started using a Router and wasn't aware i had to Forward ports having used a cable modem for years before that.
