left for dead public demo/free ?

I've played ZPS, very much enjoyed it. One of the best mods I have ever played in fact, but the L4D demo (10% of the full campaign, not including versus etc) has given me so far 17 hours of gaming brilliance. ZP has nothing on L4D, in re-playability and quality.

There were tons of bugs that have already been ironed out, you guys that didn't pre-order should be greatfull, this is working a bit like a beta.

demo before a full release for a valve game is to welcomed as it's so rare, but it's a bit silly that it's only for a week.
i also think it's daft that it cannot be pre-loaded .

demos are there for 1 purpose, and thats to get a feel of the game before you spend £30 on a game!

could just wait until games are released and then play free demo?
Saves them having to make a demo build too, they can just release a stripped down retail build as demo then.

This is Valve guys. Chill. The game will be immense. I preordered with a different company because it's £3 cheaper and I don't have to wait 10 hours on my crappy uni network.

Saying that I'll probably still have to wait 10 hours for the demo to finish downloading
