Left memtest86 running for 7hours and recieved 92 errors

*sigh* Thanks for the advice everybody, I have 4gb of this stuff

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-072-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

It hasn't been overclocked or anything although my CPU has, the timings/speed etc are all stock speeds and it's set at 2.1v as it was even more unstable at 1.8v lol. It seems to be really hot to the touch as well, seems to be hotter than it should be at stock speeds to me.

Bah, can't be bothered to play around with RAM, I'll have a look at it tomorrow.

Here's a random screenshot of the settings for them on CPU-Z. Don't know why that would help. I'm tired I suppose I don't need to make sense.

Right well I tested each stick seperately for a short while. Left all the bios settings on Auto.

Stick 1: After 5minutes, 62 errors. I'd seen enough.
Stick 2: After 5minutes, 106 errors. I'd seen enough.
Stick 3. After 30minutes (1 pass), 0 errors.
Stick 4: After 30minutes (1 pass), 0 errors.

I think that I may put stick 3 and 4 in together next and leave it for a few hours.

Bah the first stick has been running for 20mins now on those settings without any errors. It's annoying me now I want to work out what's working and what isn't.

Bah I did a pass with each stick on those settings and didn't get a single error. Just shoved all 4 back in together and I've had 2 errors 18minutes into the first pass.

I looked in the BIOS and the Northbridge Voltage is set to AUTO and my choices are

AUTO
1.25V
1.40V
1.55V
1.70V

Should I change it? And which one to?

I think it is also definitely worth mentioning that ever so often (well quite often actually) when I've been fiddling with memory settings/running memtest etc when I turn on my PC I get no signal on the monitor or any response at all and the graphics card starts spinning at max speed. I normally just end up constantly restarting until it eventually decides to work (when it works I am greeted with an "Overclocking failed!" message.

Thanks for your help btw I really appreciate it I'd just be clueless and getting really really mad without your help haha.

Ok will do I'll test that out now.

Yeah it just seems to be that it's overly sensitive about it for example it did it basically each time I changed module after doing memtest, and when I put them all in together even though they require the same settings in the BIOS.

Yeah I get paid today so I might nip to the local PC shop near me and buy the cheapest DDR2 Ram they sell (providing it isn't too expensive, they aren't the cheapest of stores).

Look what you've done. You've made me want to REPLACE my RAM with that instead of get some temporary RAM. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY CURRENT RAM WHEN I GET IT BACK FROM RMA NOW!?

My mum needs a new PC (her Athlon XP 3000+, 512mb RAM, MX440 doesn't cut it anymore) so I might try and sell the OCZ to her as a part of a new PC build.

I already sent a trouble ticket to OCZ a few days ago about the RAM and they sent an email back requesting my address etc, just sent it now so should have something sorted soon. What kind of packaging will I need to send it them? Does anybody know much about OCZ's RMA process?
