Left over chinese

I ate re-heated two-day-old leftover rice (from an Indian meal rather than a Chinese) for lunch today. It had been in the fridge but it was far from steaming hot when I ate it. I've not keeled over, but obviously one person does not constitute a good statistical sample to contradict the Food Standards guidelines.

It takes about 12 hours after eating for food poisoning to kick in ;) lets see what happens then eh? :D

DAMN IT!

I so want chinese food and can't be bothered to cook, and don't have money in the house and not going out in the cold to get some money from the cash point either! :(

So instead I'm stuck eating tuna sandwiches! :(

I've reheated rice plenty of times, yet I always keep it in the fridge though.

If you leave Rice out, I find that if it's rice you've cooked yourself, it will tend to go quite manky, so you wouldn't want to eat it anyway.

When I've left rice from say an Indian out, it tends to go hard, because it just didn't have any moisture left in it.

Never had an issue, and I always eat Chinese style food. I boil my rice in the morning, and leave it until around 10pm before it enters the wok, all at room temp, also left it overnight and used it.

Not been ill by reheating anything to be fair, bean sprouts included ;)

I know a guy whos parents buy in bulk and leave boxes of chinese out on the side for a good week before binning it. I've eaten it older than a week.
You'll be fine.

Why are people so scared of food poisoning, I've had it once, it's horrible, but the more careful you are, the more succeptable you are to it.
