Left Sky TV in the last 12 months?

If you just watch Netflix and Prime then Sky really does seem quite expensive. £145 for a TV license + the cost of sky monthly sub.

That is diabolical. Sure they want to entice new business but that completely ****s all over their loyal users. 25% is a joke.

Just did my yearly sky shuffle onto this deal, it's the best I've ever seen. Last year I had 60% and £100 which I never thought would be bettered.

What's the point of comparing illegal means of getting it? It's a good offer but I'm tied in for about 9 months

If you're not watching sport on Sky, cancel and use Now TV, has just about everything of note at a fraction of the price on the movie & entertainment pass.

Keep an eye on ebay for codes and it rarely costs more than £5/month.

Currently paying £1.66/month for movies and a little more for entertainment due to last vouchers I found.

EDIT: Reminds me, entertainment pass is about to run out, off to the bay :D

I had a 60% + £100 offer but didn't get that one

tbh these sort of things are a right kick in the **** to long term customers

I wonder if there is small print where you have to keep the subscription active for 2 or 3 years after agreeing the deal?

Usually some kind of legalese that isnt on the initial offer

A good friend of mine recently bet on the US election as a new customer to a site with similar kind of offer - 16/1 on Trump, he got his £160 ......but only £60 in cash (including his original stake) the rest was in free bets that he HAD to place within 7 days, and he also had to re-bet any winnings 3 times before he could get anything more in cash.

The only thing I have Sky for is football and F1. I would cancel it in a heartbeat otherwise. I am considering using NowTV day passes but the only thing then is when you are streaming live sport then you end up a minute or two behind, which is a pain if you're in WhatsApp groups with other friends watching, or if you want to use things like the live timing on the F1 website.

Very good point, I dont know if its just me but its seemed a lot better recently. I was watching the Man Utd v Arsenal game yesterday with a one day pass and it seemed very close to r/t

It could have course be the vagaries of how our internet connections are working on that particular day (possibly along with Sky potentially building a buffer in, I dont know)

Dont get me wrong he still won £50, but wasnt exactly 16/1 either

I know its not the complete Sky service, but I swear by NowTV - although I can see if you have family or like a whole range of stuff it can quickly add up.

Occasionally pay for a football game or F1 race, otherwise I just pay £7 /month for the entertainment channels.

Looks like HD is another £6 pm unless you have the full pack for £20

I went to proceed, clicked on the box I have then it said phone them. Can't be bothered lol.

Other offer from Sky for Sky Q The Complete Bundle

Although the 720p Nowtv video quality is fine the audio quality is poor, have never seen any measures, but seems to me equivalent of 96Kb/s mp3 (do not have 5.1 but I do not believe that is offered ?), also they do not have subtitles which makes it less useful for hard of hearing older relations; as remarked though, for the ~£2p/m token price for entertainment, is reasonable value.

( VIP = voluntary Investment Program ? you give them money do you get value in return ? In the same manner that the energy companies and supermarkets have been attacked for cartel like behaviour and false deal propositions, government needs to consider SKY/BT/Virgin in the same optic.
You should pay what you think the value of the proudct is to you, but it does not help that most consumers unaware that baseline price available is x-75% )

Just Web chatted with them, the 20quid package is apparently 20.90 for me? I also mentioned multiroom, but I have to phone them for that, she couldn't deal with it.
Then I said I'd call, but she said shall I apply the offer so you don't loose it. Wtf, website says available till 31st Dec. She said codes are running out and thy remove deals all the time.
No wonder people hate them, but the deals so good, hmmmmmm

Never had any audio issues at all with NowTV, but can certainly appreciate the subtitles issue

I'm going to go back to VM when my current year long deal ends and when I have had a year with them see what offers Sky have

If Sky thinks this is better for them than keeping me all the time on a decent deal then they have an odd way of working

Rotty: The easiest way to do it (been doing it for years) is to simply yoyo between two accounts. Keep the spare card in a drawer ready to insert back into the box next time you switch.

Every 12 months cancel the existing one online, and go into the offers section on the old account and re-activate that one. We had 60%+£100 last year, and 75%+£100 this year for example.

Sky are useless. Phoned up as I was told to, so I could talk about multiroom.
Apparently they can't help, but I can take out the 75% offer and credit, then talk to the upgrade team and see what they can do.
Ffs, why do they make it so hard to give them money.
