If I hadn't sold my 775 system, I would keep it and wait all SB problems were gone. Unfortunatelly now I am oblidged to do something...

Some don't understand that an average Joe, who buys a nice system for his son, possibly spends a huge amount of money for it, could experience problems AFTER the guarantee expires, which would then mean he would have to buy a new mainboard or even a system. I'm not saying it's like this, since Intel confessed, but would have been a nice way to make an extra buck.
The fact is, the problem exists, no matter how small percentage.

So your saying OcUK will be swapping out system boards on a doorstep basis?

I dont think that would be the case!! Excellent if it is true. But that would cost them a fortune and canna see it being true.

I would have thought OcUK would run it as a normal RMA, you return the board and once they receive it they ship the replacement.

Has there been an official statement on the doorstep swap out?

In most cases the motherboard manufacturer are dealing direct with replacements so it won't be OcUK handling the swap unless you wanted them too. Lots of posts about this up from the guys at OcUK and since I'm using an MSI board myself I've already registered to be informed of when the swaps start happening through their press release here. For the other manufacturers they all should have press releases out regarding this by now.

Not yet as far as I can see, just going off the press release saying they'll swap your mobo with an equivalent or better but full details will be released by the end of February.

The USA branch of MSI are providing 3 day UPS labels to ship your board to them and they send a replacement on 3 day UPS delivery, UK have yet to confirm replacement methods details - that being said it isn't unheard of for manufacturers to do a straight swap at the door, my iiyama lcd was rma'd in October and that was a swap at the door replacement.
