Legal use of Body Cameras.

Oh noes, are people being rude to the poor shop staff? They want to come and do a few weekend shifts in the ED. Lets see how they react to a dusthead throwing a full sick bowl at them.
Probably in a similar way to when a baghead threatens to stab them if they stop them robbing. What a daft post.

We've had them for about a month at work, entirely optional - there was an incident a few months back which I think is why they've been provided. Definitely seems to be more and more abuse from the general public and a rise in violent crimes lately and this isn't even a supermarket environment. (Combined with less being able to depend on a timely police response).

The problem is people don't realise how badly behaved they are. It needs random people to have their actions towards retail staff played back to them. If they don't feel ashamed, apologise etc - then they are just nasty people.

The converse is also true, I come across a few retail and especially public sector workers whose attitude might be improved by taking them warmly by the neck :)

I still get upset by a bloke in the dole centre back in 2007.
The first time I had ever been out of work and he just treated me so badly.
I ended up standing and shouting "Can you please stop talking to me like I'm a piece of ****, this is the first time I've been unemployed since 1974 so show so me some compassion".
Everybody started clapping & cheering and security escorted me into an office where a Manager apologised and he dealt with me.

Anyone who says "the customer is always right" is NEVER right.

Had a customer trying to get a refund on a swimsuit with the hygienic tape removed on gusset and brown skidmarks on there. She said TCIAR to me. Manager told her straight that we cannot resell the swimsuit in that state. Never apologised and stormed off.

Another customer tried to get a refund on some babygros her aunt gave her. The packaging looked old. Got one out of the pack and looked at the label. It was dated 2013! She said TCIAR at me. Then to discover her youngest cousin of this aunt was 10 and bought for him and never got used.

Another customer tried to refund some girls' vests. I kept saying they weren't from here - but Matalan. Pointed to the pack and the label on them and said Matalan on them. Again, kicked off a fuss. It's not like Matalan is next door! The nearest two are 3 and 6 miles away.

On my last signing on which I attended, before I started my current job a week before I started. I got told off for not looking for work. Why on earth would I need to look for work when Im starting a new job.

When I had a panic attack, my colleague stood up and shouted at the customers. "Its your behaviour and attitude that caused her panic attack. You should be ashamed of yourselves". It went quiet and customers were shocked about what she said to them. Serves them right!

There's quite a lot to unpack here. 'Gusset' was the amuse bouche but 'on there' was the real deal.

I am too much half afraid to ask what TCIAR even means but I bet it's hot.
