Legend of the seeker

It's only been shown in the States so far hasn't it?

Waiting for details of when it will hit Sky. By all accounts it's pretty good altho it deviates from the book and adds stuff in as well that wasn't in the books.
 
Yeap it's good, and it is more or less following the books leading up to the Darken Rahl events.

If you liked the books it's well worth watching and the actress playing Kahlan is HOT!
 
Watched the first 2 and thought didn't think it was great, obviously some changes to the story to suit tv, but some things it rushes through or misses out completely. Especially Richard meeting Kahlan and most of the beginning bit learning who he is etc. I was expecting some differences as the books contain some quite graphic scenes, which wouldn't be suitable for tv (god knows how they're going to do the whole Denna thing) and some chopping of the story but i wasn't impressed. I will keep watching though see if it improves.
 
I started watching this recently and after the initial feature length pilot all of the subsequent episodes were all what I'd describe as 'filler', I'm up to episode 15 now and I'm considering dropping it. Can anyone tell me if I'm close to some more core storyline episodes or is it all like this?
 
HI Folks,
I just finished the first Book the other day currently on book 2 now.
The TV show has had to trim a lot of stuff from it , basically each season
is one book.
I have watched every episode thats been on so far , last ep last saturday was
season 2 episode 13.
I really like it , thought it might suck ( Sam Raimi is behind it so I thought the fights
were going to be gay like the hercules/Xena ones but no it aint) bad guys are getting
hacked to bits every ep.

The torture Denna bits were done pretty well ( denna actress is smokin hot) but
I still think Kahlan is just so amazing looking , she is curerntly my desktop background.
 
I read the books and remember seeing about this when it was in pre-production. I watched what I think was the pilot, but didn't think a whole lot of it so haven't gone back to it really. Will have to check it out and see if it gets better.
 
I'm up to ep 10 of season 1, and enjoying it.

Much better than other similar shows like Merlin/Xena/Hercules, and Kahlan is indeed pure dagger-wielding, person-confessing hawtness!
 
Iam currently reading the third book , its pretty good
