Legend of Zelda Wii U

That video is enough to put me off, I hate the Wii U controller and using it to look into the distance like he did there would drive me mad, he moves the controller about a foot and it moves about a half inch on screen. Just about everything he did with the pad looks awkward so definitely one to miss for me.

I question if some of you guys have actually played Zelda games :p

When Zelda does get captured, it's often not until well into the game, and although Zelda's capture often plays a big part in the story it's never really the basis of the plot. Zelda's capture often occurs later on to place urgency on the storyline (and for the triforce tie-in).

Majoras Mask...
There is no princess, no Ganon, no princess capturing

Skyward Sword...
Zelda goes missing at the beginning but is not actually captured by Ganon and is instead safe with Impa initially - she is later imprisoned, but not by Ganon. (Ganon is not even in the game).

Twilight Princess...
Well into the game, Zelda sacrifices her power to save Midna but disappears as a result, we don't find out what happened to her until near the end of the game.

Wind Waker...
It's Links sister who gets captured at the beginning of the game, Zelda isn't captured until much later(after we find out about Tetra).

Ocarina of Time...

Zelda doesn't actually get captured until very close to the end of the game

There's a lot more 'story' to Zelda games than many realise. The story in Zelda games is told very directly with few fillers, which is why I think it's often overlooked as a strong (but obviously not the strongest) component of the games.

Each game is a retelling of the same legend... so I think we all know the story already.

(Hint: the princess gets captured)

That's like saying every game of football is the same because in each game a football gets kicked.

Yes Zelda is a little "careless" :p - but that's not the core plot.

Much of the Legend is told across different eras of the same timeline though.

Yeah Zelda gets captured a lot, but it's really about finding and harnessing the power to save the world etc.

Also, Majoras Mask.

The gyroscope functionality will almost definitely be optional - like in Wind Waker. I'm almost certain that you will be able to aim the the right-stick too, and even have the option to play with The Pro Controller.

In Splatoon, you aim primarily with the right stick and you make finer aim movements with the pad gyroscope (if you want to). I think it'll be the same thing here.

Also:
  • They are sitting at a very awkward angle to the TV
  • Investors probably like to see Nintendo demonstrating use the GamePad :p

I'm pulling your legs ladies, hence casting the rod to see who takes the bait.

It's pretty funny using Majoras Mask in your arguments though.
