Lego Star Wars 2 Thread

It's £29.99 everywhere I've seen for the 360 - online that is - I guess £40 would be right on the high street as they normally charge £50.

Anyways, I was glad to see a few people playing this on my friends list last night - I wasn't really expecting to, what with all the big blockbusters that came out last week.

So far I am loving it - it has all the humour of the first, and I have to say the improvements are great. The have just tweaked components of the original just a little so you notice it - but not too much as to ruin it, or change it completely. The graphics are also wonderful - the blurring is a great touch, a little bit off from time to time, but still very very nice.

I think they've also made it a lot harder than the original. Not the actual gameplay, but the "finding everything" aspect. The way now you have to complete each level at least three times to get all the parts (because of the different character skills you need - and you can only pick one person in free play yourself).

Finally, they have sorted out the horrible "vehicle" levels from the original. I loved flying the X-Wing and the Snow Speeder - those levels alone could make a great game :D I've only got to Empire, part 2 so far, but I am looking forward to the rest of it a great deal. Woot!!

The only thing that disappointed me was the Achievements. It's a shame they couldn't come up with some more interesting ones given the topic of the game. I'm not one who "must get all the achievements", but I do like games like Dead Rising, that have kind of mini tasks to get one. This game had so many opportunities for that sort of thing, all missed :(

OMG!

This is Star Wars.... But it's in Lego...

Then again it's Lego... But it's also Star Wars....

It's.. It's.. It's just genius. :D

THis was already on the shelves of Gamestation in Hemel last Saturday (to purchase, not preorder). Enchanted Arms on the other hand was not. I assume they got the releases mixed up and put the wrong thing on the shelves :)

Send my £60 and you'll have it tomorrow ;)

i picked it up for £26.99 :P for xbox 360 brand new and i got it on the monday tooo

Quick question regarding the PSP version, what do you need to do when you first reach the Falcon in EpIV Level 3?

I've killed all the guards, can't leave the area, and can't seem to do anything with the Falcon.

Have you killed Darth and all 3 (i think) waves of Trooopers? If so a ramp should have come down on the Falcon which you go up.

Didn't notice Darth, only a load of troopers that were taken care of. May try re-doing the level. :(

I've got this game coming within the next couple of days. I can't wait to play it! :) I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it.

Unfortunately not, Live co-op would have been great.

I have played all the levels now, only 40% done though, so plenty still to do.
