Let's talk about anti-fanboyism

Oh yes the "who" is very common on here and then when called out it's usually a reply like "sorry I have a life outside of the internet". I have had to google a few especially when it's about a youtuber as I don't follow any streamers. That said, I've still heard of pewdiepie.

That said, I've still heard of pewdiepie.

I'd never heard of him till about 6 months ago when someone made a thread about a controversial YT video he uploaded. I watched it and one of his others and was frankly bemused as to why he had so many subscribers because I found his videos boring. I never subbed. I've been on YT since 2006 and never knew about him for all those years. I guess I'm not cool. :D

I admired him greatly, but would I say he was cool? Probably not as I think the word belittles his achievements.
Depends how you interpret the word.
It's generally positive, without having to reflect on fashionable trends, though, so in a politicial leader sense he's up there with Churchill, Gandhi, the Pope and others that people generally regard as 'cool'.

The word itself hasn't really gone out of fashion either, unlike certain others... swell, neat, fantazzydozy, etc...

but did you post 'WHO?' or did you go to Google like I did?

I had to do it for that Logan Paul one as never heard of him. I appreciate that being a sperg I don't understand a lot of things that 'normal' people do but I've never understood why people enjoy watching people playing games and talking all the time.
I get the other stuff may be like comedy sketches or reviews but the streaming thing baffles me .

Why do Posters miss the point of threads?
Diddums you might as well be talking to the wall.

This place is better than Facebook for that.

Oh another one Diddums -

Somebody starts a thread and then somebody comes in and says 'I have no interest in this' or similar but they actually took time out to post something.

I was the second person in my whole school to buy the first Rage Against The Machine album. FACT*.

*based on my immediate circle of friends and the other scumbags in my year being into Oasis or something, so therefore, FACT.

RATM became immediately the worst band ever when the indie-kids and scrotes started to play Bomb Track at breaktime..

I am now old and like to think I treat people on how they are to me rather than what music/political leaning/sexual persuasion etc etc they are.

Unless they say Deep Space 9 was better than Babylon5. In which case they are dead to me.

Relevance to thead: 2/10

Do I care. Nope.
