Lets talk cruises

Booked an October med cruise with TUI Marella.
Majorca somewhere else Rome, Naples somewhere else, Corsica maybe?
Should be a laugh.
2nd cruise again we opted for Merella.
Next time will be something different.
I thought you didn't like the last one? Now you booked one to... Majorca and all the touristy places? I look forward to your post cruise summary.

By the end of it it was "fine."
The initial shock of Butlins at sea hit me.. lol.
My Mrs loves it for some reason.... I guess the British feel is still novel to her, she's never been to a holiday camp :p

I'm not gonna lie we've been together 12 years now and every year I just let more and more of the not too important decisions go to her. It's nice having a personal travel advisor.

Indeed happy wife happy life. Lol :p

There is something lovely about having everything you need in one place and then moving that "place" around to interesting locations.

Doing that on the ocean is somehow extra special.

My preferred solution is a yacht charter. Me, wife and kids on a 40' yacht. Plus I get to be in charge and be suitably ignored.

I totally get the attraction, but for me it's as much about the isolation and you just can't get that on a floating town.

Surprised how popular these appear to be to so many in here. I barely know anyone that's been on a cruise. It they have then they don't talk about it. I'm definitely in the "can't think of much worse" camp. It's the thousands of other people that would do my nut. No matter how big, I'd feel trapped so to speak. Also don't you catch the latest virus on these things? ;)
