Letter about "clocking"

If anything its easier on early to late 2000`s cars, not sure if the latest batch of cars are any different, doubt it though

Was it genuinely a letter about 'clocking' or just something like a previous keeper questionnaire sent out by HPI (National Mileage Register)?

It was a letter sent by VMC from the DVLA saying something along the lines of that they suspect the cars mileage is not genuine. Basically about the car been clocked. Now when I bought the car the mileage added up so its possible that the trader I sold it to did or or the person afterwards.

Wouldn't give it too much thought - it can even be something as stupid as the mileage is written incorrectly on some paperwork that's submitted to them at some point. Either way it's really not your problem
