Letter from a new Marine

US naval officer: What's it like being in the second largest navy on the planet?
British naval officer: Not bad ... what's it like being in the second best navy on the planet?

Love this quote, and I so hope to god that it is true :D

It's in a book of famous Royal Naval signals. An american admiral and a RN Admiral.

I'll ask my dad, RN Rtd.

Great one :p

The British navy isnt the second largest in the world, its about the 5th i think after the US, Russia and a couple of others. Its still the best though! Who need nuclear powered aircraft carriers :p
