I have a bit of chipboard floor about 400mm x 400mm that sits 4mm below the rest of the floor, there’s a hard 4mm step around the the perimeter so will be noticeable when I carpet it soon

any recommendations on which product to use, I’m struggling to find any specific for chipboard

Also a few floor boards have bits missing, any easy was to fix this or would it be easier chopping them out and replacing?

Agree - lift the board and raise it from underneath wherever it's resting on supports. Then your actual floor surface is proper, rather than having an odd patch.

I can’t lift the board , it’s too big of a job as part of it forms the subfloor of a luxury vinyl floor , I have looked at putting plywood down to fill the step but it would still require some leveller on it
