HI there

October last year we launched the amazing LG 34UC97, I am still using mine right now, absolutely gorgeous monitor. We sold nearly 1000 of these stunning screens last year and they were also practically £1000 each.

Today we launch the exact same monitor but without Thunderbolt connectivity, the result is compared to last years launch price of £989.99 we are able to offer the none Thunderbolt version at just £659.99, the screen is identical in every way and at this price is a great deal for such a stunning display.

£659.99 = NEARLY HALF IN PRICE??

Surely it would be a lot more accurate to say a third off?

£989.99 * 2/3 = £659.99

£989.99 * 1/2 = £495 (to the nearest penny)

What's the difference between the two...apart from the price? Same size and resolution?

EDIT - One has thunderbolt

Just because £990 is 50% more expensive than £660, doesn't mean that £660 is 50% less expensive than £990 ;)

So it's basically the same price as the Dell U3415w which uses the same panel, has a better stand, and better support?

Trains A and B are traveling in the same direction on parallel tracks. Train A is traveling at 60 mph and train B is traveling at 70 mph. Train A passesa station at 12:20 P.M. If train B passes the same station at 12:32 P.M., at what time will train B catch up to train A?"

:D

I'd buy the DELL. ;)

But the LG's sell quite well. :)

Can't recommend this form factor enough.

Picked my Dell up for roughly this price and I love it!

Does the curve actually make any difference, for better or worse?

It's subtle, like, so subtle you forget it's there. (imo this is a good thing) - I couldn't imagine using this form factor on a flat monitor though.

After using the Philips 4k 40" monitor for a while I can see why the curve would be advantageous, not been able to see a curved on in person yet. Any news on if anyone is working on a curved 40"er?
