My new screen arrived today.
Initially I was gutted as I thought my very old R9 290's were not up to the task as I had no output. Fixed it when I realised I was using card 2 and not card 1 in my x-fire setup.
Now I have output. Im using the HDMI port for now until my display until my display port cable arrives tomorrow. The thing is that Windows keeps trying to force the resolution to full 4K which the monitor deosn't support, but when I change it back to 3440 x 1440 I get this horrible letterbox effect and Im not using the whole screen, you can see that by the sticker in the bottom left...
Is this because my gfx cards don't support freesync or another reason?
