LG B9 + Windows 10 via HDMI - Can't log into windows

Happy holidays everyone,

Finally decided to up my TV game to 4K and the B9 had all the right specs at the price point I was aiming at so I treated myself to this fine upgrade.

Initial setup went fine, got up and running, until I booted up my pc to setup the B9 as a third screen, get to the win 10 login screen, enter my password, get the loading dots, windows begins to login.... Then dumps me back at the login screen. The PC doesn't crash, I can enter my pw again, but it just does the same thing.

\- I've tried different HDMI ports on TV and GPU

\- Setup the HDMI device connection to PC and selected the corresponding HDMI input

\- Reinstalled GPU drivers

All to no avail. If I disconnect the TV, I can login to windows just fine. If I login to windows then connect the TV, it registers for a second, my screens all flash (like when you change res/refresh rate) then I get dumped back to windows login screen.


Any ideas?

What screen resolution setting is the pc?

Currently 2 x 1440p Monitors @1440p connected.

That's the thing, I cant even get into windows to set the resolution.

Thanks for all the replies, I think I narrowed it down to the hdmi cable, the display works just fine at anything under 4k (even @60hz it borks). So I've ordered a fresh 2.1 cable, and will try again.
