LG C1 OLED Brightness

I’ve watched a couple of films recently where the films seem quite dark to start with and then halfway through the brightness returns to normal or as you expect

Is there a setting somewhere on the TV that disables brightness change?

Unfortunately, the C1 was one of the worst models for this.

I think the only way of turning off the aggressive dimming is with a service remote but could be wrong on that.

It’s only started to do it in the last couple of weeks and I’ve not changed any setup on the TV

Had mine for 5 years and it's never done this. Although it's not particularly bright anyway.

Sorted - was set up in gaming mode with some auto dimming which I’ve not changed to film mode and been ok

I hate all this auto dimming stuff. Especially hateful is when you recieve a mandatory update to the tv that turns it all back on. They also hide some of rhe settings deep in the menus.

OK so I thought that sorted it, but watched Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 2 at the weekend on 4k; seemed ok as its a dark film but suddenly jumped to a normal brightness so guessing I didn't fix it.

I've ordered a service remote to get to the auto dim settings; only seems to be when watching content through Infuse on Apple TV.
We've watched the Hobbit and LOTR on 4k discs recently with no issues

Not sure if its Apple TV playing up or the TV
