LG G5

What's everyone done with their stands? Presume you all wall mount them?
I kept the stand for the C7 this replaces as I thought it would help with resale in the future but it's a 2017 TV and I'm asking so little for it on marketplace that I don't think an included stand would affect the asking price too much. Don't fancy keeping this thing in the garage for the next 10 years, it's a decent sixed box.

Not worth selling. I have mine on floor stand that has couple of shelves . Fair sized but stored in airing cupboard

You'd have to think vast majority of owners would be wall mounting. Given the size of the box and the fact its a separate package to the TV box it could / should have been an optional no cost extra imo.

Got my G5 65" arriving this afternoon. The OLD C2 will be moved into our snug/kitchen area to replace the old Gen 1 Sky Glass.
The GF finally asked me the size difference last night
She laughed and said we've our own IMAX cinema now in the living room

Do we ideal picture settings anywhere for this new TV? A base to start for the perfect picture

rtings usually have setttings.

Now you just need a 9.3.4 audio system :D

yours was an early 2020 model so a step up to a G5 would be a serious upgrade.

Quite tempted, not sure what my CX would fetch, it has a minor power on issue that occurs sometimes, I think I might just offer it to a local charity, if I do get a G5.

I was thinking wait for a G6 for Dolby vision 2, but I think DV2 is still a while
Off and not something that is a must.

Nice, I’m lost with the version numbers , is a CX which I have, older than the C2?

I’m thinking of the G5 or new G6 maybe this year.

I think the CX came out as the C2 did.

Had the screen of C1, but internals and style of the C2.

Sorry, I’m an idiot. I was talking about the CS. The C2 is 2022, the CX was 2020

I have the CS, "Had the screen of C1, but internals and style of the C2" is correct. I keep finding myself looking at G5's, I love my CS, its in a pretty dark room so its lack of brightness isnt an issue, however, I bought a 55" and in the last year or so I've been thinkning I should have stumped for the 65". So if Im goign to jump up I am going to get do it properly so I have no remorse in a year.

I'm also going to be coming from a CX. I've seen the G5 in the flesh, it's significantly better than what we have. The difference in brightness alone is insane.

I don't think the G6 is needed personally unless you get a good price.

Nice, I’m just going to wait for a little bit, just to see the reviews of the G6 and I think waiting for g6 release will hopefully see g5 price drop some more.

Filmaker Mode is fantastic, not much to tweak really. I got an 83" C5 just after Christmas and it's superb :)

so I may have an issue with my new G5

whilst watching the football earlier today I could see some faint lines behind the picture. assumed it was the lighting until now I've seen these lines when the screen is dark

I think I may need a replacement already
