I have recently received my LG L226WTQ LCD monitor. Excellent value and great picture!
One small problem I have is attaching the base. The base is inserted in the monitor but I don't think it is sitting properly in the monitor. There is about 5mm. from what I would consider home. I am a bit worried about how hard to push until I hear the 'click'.
Has anybody else found this hard to properly secure home? How hard should I have to push?

It takes a fair bit of preesure to get the oval "pipe" part onto the monitor itself. There shouldn't be any gap. The bas fits onto the pipe easily

i had the same problem, it was extremely hard to fit even tried forcing it, it should click in, try looking underneath and slacking the side clips a bit.

i had same problems also but asked a m8 who got same monitor if it was looked right with a gap at the top he said no and it takes a bit of a wack which it did i think i hit it like 10 times each time getting harder, make sure you place monitor on some towels so you dont scratch screen.
