Hi Folks...I bought a 40" LG TV with freeview a few months ago.
Because I'm going a bit deaf in one ear, I wanted to attach my Sony Stacker Hi-fi to the TV via Sound out cables, so I can get the Damn Audio a bit louder..
ALAS! i find NO Audio Out on this darn TV. Why do the idiots make new TV's with No audio out. Don't make sense to me seeing as my Very Old 32" Huge Tv has them.

Got AVI in--2 x HDMI in. Audio in.. Scart in.. USB in But Bugger all OUT. What's the point.
Can't change it now as I not got receipt.

Is there ANY way of getting Audio out to Hi-Fi or 2-1 speakers, or sound bar etc. or is it a DEAD LOSS as I think it is.
Cheers

I dont think any current TV has analogue outputs now, only ARC through hdmi and optical.

You could use the headphone jack to phono leads if its that much of an issue.

As for idiots, you come across as one by not researching this before buying.

Whats funny about that !! lots have the option for it so tv's without arc can work with them

i'm laughing at him

he obviously did zero research before buying the tv and is now complaining about it.

as i said above most tv's have optical out or most input's also have an optical out along with hdmi these days.

some tv's also have an arc function on one of the hdmi slots too.

if the tv has neither it is crap, so just use the one on the input.

e.g. my sky+ hd box has an optical out as does my ps3, so although both connect to the tv through hdmi, they connect to my soundbar through optical out.

if his speakers don't have an optical input he needs to buy a FIIO DAC, the one which converts optical to RCA though isn't available in the UK afaik, so he will need to sped big bucks getting it imported from america.

Ah,, i miss understood your reply then, TBH if it's not that old but only has 2 HDMI then it will be poor.

ONe, I Aint No Idiot you Prats..Two, I did a research but was told when I collected it that it's out of production and the one we got is an update. Could not look at it in shop as it was packed. So bought the updated version but forgot to check the conections..
Please don't tell me they do not make Analogue Output for Sound for Tvs because they Do. Just LG has a habit of leaving them off some TVs.
Two HDMI is Not Poor. I dont Game.

I did not come on here to be Ridiculed..PRATS.

I bought a Scart to Phono Adapter Home Cinema Dual Piggy Back Socket and it Works.
Shove that up your pipe..

As for Optical Out..Stacker Hi-Fis not so many years ago NEVER had them..

Don't give Advise if you gona call someone an Idiot, that way you will not be called Prats. GROW UP!
