Hi all,

I've had a LG OLED C8 since April 2019 and it's always had a dark mark in the top left of the screen that seems to be getting worse.

I've attempted to call LG twice about this and both times they have taken my details and twice they have failed to call me back.

Does anyone have experience of LG support and what number is best to call.

The number I've been contacting is +443448475454.

Emailing currys got me
Nowhere fast
Yet on Facebook they answered me
Within an hour
And resolved my issue
By next day
 
Ok I'll give that a go
Keep phoning if necessary too
But Facebook is more public
Guess they don't
Like people seeing negative
Stuff on their page
Though some companies screen it
All first before it gets on there
Others are more honest
And allow negative comments
As long as they aren't abusive
Obviously
No idea how LG deals with it though
But can't hurt to try
 
My LG OLED developed a vertical red line less than 12 months after purchase from Richer Sounds. I rang them, they put me through to LG. No queue. They took my details, I sent pictures via WhatsApp. They rang me back the same day and within a week I had the panel replaced.
 
I was told that if the TV is under 12 months old then LG deal with warranty claims directly.

While I agree that the contract is made with the retailer, their obligation is repair, replace or refund. That choice is the retailers, not the customers. So if they decide to repair then they'll just send it back to LG anyway. Refund won't be at the full retail price paid and a replacement could well be a refurbished model anyway.

Personally, based on the service I received directly from LG themselves, I'd contact them.
