LG V20

Somewhat. On the one hand it has a removable battery, microSD card slot, LG usually have decent cameras and a very high end DAC. But I've heard their hardware has spotty longevity, and the software is said to be lacking. I'm also not too keen on the G5 look, rather than the tactical-like look of the V10.

That said, it's pretty much the most compelling option out of anything to me because of the removable battery, camera and DAC.

I've got an LG G3.

It represents my first and last LG phone.

What in particular do you dislike?

I do want this, but I am quite worried because I've been reading a lot of negative things about LG phones, like the V10 having awful battery life and LG phones bootlooping being the main ones.

Appalling battery life. Slow, stuttery performance. overheats and switches itself off if the screen is on for too long (always happens if using Google maps for navigation). LG not very quick at releasing new Android os revisions. Inbuilt Bluetooth doesn't work with my car stereo (though other phones I've tried do). Takes too long for apps to open like camera, or Google play music. OK google is a joke on the phone. LG bloat Ware is useless and can't be removed.

These are just a few off the top of my head.

The best feature is the camera, but my friends note 4 which is the same age still beats it hands down.

I've had the phone nearly 2 years and regret its purchase everyday. Nexus 2016 next for me.

No immediate plans to launch in Europe according to Android Authority. I hope the new nexus/pixel has a good DAC

Wow the AOP bump on the mics is impressive, coupled with the video camera features. It's basically a DSLR for video recording and a professional dictaphone for stereo audio recording.

Now if it had wireless charging... It could have pinched me toward the it!

Fast wireless charging (10W+) is a Samsung exclusive. I use it at home and at work, so really I can't be without it as I find it really convenient.

I'm really quite desperate for this phone to come out since my M8 refuses to charge anymore unless it's in an extremely specific position with the cable angled just right and the planets in alignment with each other.

With the global Note 7 recall, they're seriously missing a trick by not releasing it ASAP.

Try a different cable with your m8. That happened to mine but a different cable sorted it.

I've tried about 4 different cables, 3 different chargers (one power bank), cleaned out the gunk in the port (which was very satisfying), but nothing seems to work.

I had the V10, which is a bloody good phone in itself. The only issues I had were the second screen was more or less useless and there was some issues with backlight bleed where the two screens met. Something I think reviewers have also pointed out about the v20.

Despite this I'm still interested in picking up a Korean model when it's released.
