i didn't get mine from ocuk, got it else where but unluckly for yours to be faulty

whats the deal with the warranty with lg they going to swap it or ocuk going to do it ?

wasnt from overclockers. phoned lg as it has a 3 year on site warranty and they said they would gladly come to my door and replace it but only with a refurbished unit. They said it would be better for me to get the retailer to send me a new one seen as they are obliged to under 28 days. Was vey impressed with lg customer support, took my details and very helpful.

Hey JSD, does your monitor have a DVI connection on it and does it come with a DVI Cable?

Interface: Analog / HDMI (DVI requires HDMI/DVI Cable/Converter) not to sure what that means?

Really interested in buying this, what do you think of it?

Though someone else seems to have answered you...

My MW does have a DVI, but lacks a HDMI, so basically this one is the same as mine but with HDMI instead of DVI, a simple converter will fix that either way though :p

And yes mine did come with a DVI cable

Have you got your replacement yet Jono?

Mine arrived and I couldn't be happier. I haven't run the packaged config app yet but so far I am pretty blown away by the quality of the image and the vividness of the colours.

Mine is with the silver bezel (will post pics soon) but it's still not too bad a looking screen.

RMA'd mine back today. Never looked right from the start and last few nights playing C&C3 have shown up bleed getting worse on the bottom, top and left side.

Also noticed when the screensaver came on it took it a while (seconds) to restore the correct colour - is that normal?

Sadly unimpressed. Have no idea what I'm going to replace it with.

Yeah just tested mine - it dims the monitor so as to reduce the chance of any burn - it probably saves a bit of power too - quite clever really.

Maybe you should try turning the brightness down a little.

Its on its way back now. Had a bit of a chat before returning it because one persons opinion on backlight bleed can be different to anothers.

I had asked for a refund but tbh, there isn't really anything to replace it that also appears to have issues (Samsung 22") or even spending more on 24" they too have problems.

Thing is, now I've gone back to my trusty 22" CRT I never realised quite how ugly it is!. I just couldn't believe the inability I found with the LG to display colour properly and uniformily.

Weird - mine is pretty good. There is of course the usual slight variation in brightness as you get lower than eye level with the monitor but in general it's sweet. Certainly not enough for me to be unhappy with - in fact the only thing that bothers me now is that my 7900GT 512MB can't keep up like it could with a 17" - still, never going back.

Along with the bleed, this was the other big issue. Even at eye level, I couldn't get the monitor to show a uniform colour top to bottom. I etiher had to make my eye level about 12" higher than the top of the monitor or tilt the monitor at eye level so the top was closer to me than the bottom but that then felt uncomfortable to the eye.

Its a shame because so many have raved about the monitor being so good.

Can someone with this monitor post some pics of it in use please, hardly any good pics on the net.

I second that Notion, hopefully the monitor that has the Black Stand and the Silver Frame, just to see how it compares to the Sliver Stand and the Black Frame

What connections does the WTQ actually have on it? I'm getting conflicting reports from all over the place.

The product description in some places says that you can plug DVD players, VCRs, consoles and video cameras into it... but if it only has DVI and VGI (which is my current understanding/assumption) then that isn't really the case is it?

Can one of you guys that has one tell me what inputs there are, because the conflicting information is driving me mad.

Cheers

Yeah - just a DVI and VGA connector.

Lots of good info. thanks for that but I'm still a bit confused. Which is the best 22" monitor for Gaming? (€400max) Is it:

HP2207
Samsung 226
or the LG

Facts, opinions, rumours and heresay all gratefully accepted.

Cheers.

I've just purchased a W2207 after briefly owning an A panel SM226BW.

I couldn't stand the excessive backlight bleed on the Samsung so it was returned to the purple shirts, I then had to de3cide what else to buy. I wandered accross the car park and bought the W2207 and what a choice it was!!!

Never have I seen such a clean and crisp TN panel display! Good viewing angles, 1:1 pixel mapping (kind of), ultra minor backlight bleed.

The stand is something else, height adjustment, swivel and portrait mode! I'm sure this would cost £50+ on its own!

Build quality is amazing.

I couldn't be happier.

If OCUK were to stock this monitor I'm positive it would knock the Samsung off the top spot.
