Lga 1150 replacement

Hi All,
What board would you all recommend?? I have a i7 4790k with a rog maximus vii ranger atx board, I need to reduce my case down in size so I need to replace my board to maybe a micro atx, I'm having trouble finding any due to the age of my processor.
Any suggestions would be great.

At this point, you're probably better off just selling everything and upgrading. You can find a list of Haswell chipsets on wikipedia, B85 appears to be pretty widespread and not too expensive. You could look for Z87 or Z97. I'm not sure if H81 would have good enough VRMs for your CPU.

I was considering that as a second option would the ryzen 5600x be a good upgrade I'm a bit out of touch with every thing these days

Yep, a 5600 non-x, 5600x, or 12400f (none of these have integrated graphics) would all be a good upgrade.
