Lga 1700 coolers

9 days for for my Arctic II LGA-1700 kit to arrive. It's build time!

9 days!! Where are you based?

Don't you think it's a bit strange that overclockers haven't got a load of these kits in stock or someone else in the UK? it feels really inefficient having to order from Germany.

Anyone got any ideas, apart from contacting Arctic Cooling, where you can buy some of the black plastic type washers you use on your motherboard to then attach the standoffs to the back plate.?
They are the four that would protect the motherboard from being scratched or damaged from the standoffs.
Just swapping boards and these are not wearing that well, in terms of adhesion or longevity.
I do wish that AC would supply a few more for such situations as swapping out the AIO.

I think that fibre washers would be too thick.

Thanks

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II LGA1700 - User Manual

A selection of motherboards have been found to interfere with the Liquid Freezer pump PCB cover. The issue can be solved by changing the pump cover, please contact ARCTIC to get the replacement cover if you have an affected motherboard.

Here is a list of motherboards with this problem.

  • ASRock Z690 Taichi
  • ASUS Prime Z690-A
  • ASUS ProArt Z690-Creator WIFI
  • ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Formula
  • ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero
  • ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WIFI D4
  • ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WIFI
  • ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming WIFI
  • ASUS ROG Strix Z690-G Gaming WIFI
  • ASUS ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming WIFI
  • GIGABYTE Z690 UD

I am about to order a Prime Z690 motherboard and the Arctic Liquid Freezer ll RGB 240 cooler, does anyone know if this is still the case?

Is it simply the case of removing the fan cover and all will be good, or am I better off looking for an alternative mobo or cooler if performance is affected.

I have dropped a message to Arctic to check also regarding the above reference to an alternative cover.

Thanks

The little cover is purely for cosmetic purposes and has no other function, so even if it is an issue on that mobo then just remove the cover and call it a day tbh.
